PLAC Cross Country

What is Cross Country?

Cross Country (XC) is our Winter Athletics season.  It is family orientated and we encourage all members of the family to participate.

It's not just how fast you run, it's how much you can improve.  Each Saturday we run cross country (rain, hail or shine). We have 3 courses that we run over the season at Lillypond house.

When?

Saturday Mornings (Warn up: 8:15am) Start: 8:30am - 10:00am, from 7th May to 13th August 2016

Where?

Lilypond House, Duncan Drive Pakenham

Who?

Open to ALL ages from U6-Open. Mums and Dads are invited to have a run/walk too, but will need to sign a waiver.

Why?

  • Improve your fitness or build fitness for other sports
  • Be outdoors in winter, away from computer/TV/phone screens
  • Be with your friends and create new friends
  • To be healthy, create good habits, improve yourself or build your resilience
  • Training for Little Athletics Championships or School events
  • More variety and longer distances than other local running events
  • Or just because you love running and being active!!

How much?

  • Free for registered athletes in 2015/16 summer season - already included in track & field season costs, (small fee for season end trophies)
  • New members (competing at XC State Championships), only $82.50 - covers all our costs of running the season, insurance, season end trophies
